What is a friability tester?
Used throughout pharmaceutical industry, friability testers measure the difference between the weight of the sample before and after the process in order to check the physical strength of uncoated tablets.
How to measure the friability of a tablet?
Accurately weigh the tablet sample, and place the tablets in the drum. Rotate the drum 100 times, and remove the tablets. Remove any loose dust from the tablets as before, and accurately weigh. Generally, the test is run once.
