Filtered compressed air enters with the steam and keeps the pressure outside each container at or above the pressure inside, so packs do not burst or deform during heating and cooling. Counter-pressure: why your packs stay intact

At high temperature the air and water inside a sealed pack expand. Compressed air keeps the chamber pressure equal to, or slightly above, the pressure inside, in both phases of the cycle.

Why do I need counter-pressure?

Sealed pouches, trays and bottles build pressure inside as they heat. Without matching pressure outside they can burst or deform. Compressed air prevents that.

Is the air compressor included?

Yes, the air compressor is standard. It runs at about 60 dB.

What utilities do I need?

A water source and compressed air of at least 0.3 MPa, and a 220 V single-phase supply: 20 A for the 100 L, 30 A for the 150 L.

How is the product cooled?

Steam stops and water spray and jacket air cooling begin, while compressed air keeps the chamber pressure up.

What does the warranty cover?

A 1-year warranty. Major defects under warranty are covered by a full refund or replacement.
