A horizontal laminar flow clean bench that blows HEPA-filtered air straight across the work surface, from the back of the cabinet toward you. Every particle the operator or the room could shed is carried away from the sample, giving an ISO Class 5 work zone for sterile, non-hazardous work. Supplied with base stand and a 3-year worldwide warranty.
Clean air that flows toward you
A fan draws room air through the washable pre-filter and pushes it through a HEPA filter covering the back wall. The filtered air crosses the work surface in parallel, unidirectional streams and leaves through the open front, so the sample always sits upstream of your hands, your breath and the room.
Side section. The cabinet is held under constant positive pressure, so room air cannot drift in.
- Glass-fibre HEPA filter, damp-proof and fire-proof.
- Washable polyester-fibre pre-filter protects the HEPA filter.
- Laminar flow cabinets protect the sample only. For infectious or hazardous materials, choose a biosafety cabinet.
- Transparent side glass brightens the work zone.

Horizontal or vertical: how to choose
Horizontal hoods push air across the work surface and give the strongest protection to the work itself. Vertical hoods push air down, which suits large equipment that would block a horizontal stream.

A filter you can plan around
The HEPA filter is rated for 5,000 hours. The controller counts system work time and raises a replacement alarm at 3,500 hours, so the filter can be changed on schedule, well before performance drops.
Glass-fibre HEPA filter, 99.999% or better for particles of 0.3 μm and larger.

Controls and safety
The LCD shows airflow velocity, UV timer, UV work time, system work time and real time. A UV start-up delay protects the operator, and the lamps are interlocked: switching on the fluorescent lamp turns the UV lamp off.
